Free daily anagram puzzle

Jumble is a free daily anagram game: a grid of scrambled tiles you swap into six words, three across and three down. Solve it in as few moves as you can. A fresh scramble every day in your browser, no signup.

The short version

Jumble is free, plays in your browser with no account, and refreshes every day at midnight US Eastern. Swap tiles until all six words read right, in the fewest moves. Play today’s Jumble.

01 How Jumble works

You start with a grid of lettered tiles in the wrong places. Tap one tile, then another, to swap them. Hidden in the grid are six words, three reading across and three reading down. After each swap the tiles give you feedback: green for a letter in its correct spot, yellow for a letter that belongs in that word but a different place, and grey for a letter that is not needed there. Keep swapping until every word lands.

02 Free, and new every day

Like every game here, Jumble is free, needs no account, and works on your phone or desktop with nothing to download. One fresh scramble is published each day, the same for everyone, and it resets at midnight US Eastern. It plays in a few minutes, then you are done until tomorrow.

03 A tip to start

Lock in the letters that are already green and leave them alone; the instinct to swap everything early tends to disturb tiles that were already right. Solve the corners and short words first, then let the longer words fall into place. For more, explore our other daily word games or the full lineup on the Greatest Games homepage.
