Spelling the exact six-letter word within your 6 guesses.
Yes — every guess must be a valid six-letter word. A word we don't recognize is turned away without using up a row.
Easy lets you guess freely. Hard mode forces you to reuse every revealed clue — greens stay locked in place and yellows must move to a new spot. Toggle it before your first guess.
Each tile is judged against the answer on its own, so a doubled letter can come back green, yellow, and grey at once — the colors only ever count as many as the word actually holds.
Only before your first guess. Once you start, the mode is locked for the day.
Yes — a fresh six-letter word at midnight, Eastern time, the same one for everyone.
