The short version

Daily Sudoku is free, runs in your browser with no account, and refreshes every day at midnight US Eastern. Pick a difficulty, the clock starts when you do, and your finish time is your score. Play today’s Sudoku.

01 How daily Sudoku works

Sudoku is a 9x9 grid split into nine 3x3 boxes. One rule runs the whole thing: every row, every column, and every box must hold the digits one through nine with no repeats. A handful of digits are given to start; the rest is pure deduction. Tap a cell and type a number, or switch on Notes to pencil in the candidates you’re still weighing. The grid flags a conflict the moment a number breaks the rules.

02 Free, and new every day

Like every game here, daily Sudoku is free, needs no account, and works on your phone or desktop with nothing to download. A fresh set of puzzles goes up each day, the same grids for everyone, and they reset at midnight US Eastern. The timer only runs while you’re playing and pauses the moment you step away, so your score reflects the solve rather than the interruptions.

03 A difficulty for everyone

Every day ships four separate puzzles: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Very Hard. Easy is a warm-up you can clear over coffee. Very Hard leans on the trickier chains and makes you slow down and think. Each is timed on its own clock, so you can chase your best Easy time or settle in for a long Very Hard solve. Still want more deduction after you finish?
