A 6-letter word game like Wordle

Wordly is a free daily word guessing game in the Wordle lineage, with one twist: six letters instead of five. Six guesses, honest color hints, and an easy or hard mode. A fresh word every day in your browser, no signup.

The short version

Wordly is free, plays in your browser with no account, and refreshes every day at midnight US Eastern. Guess the six-letter word in six tries, using the green and yellow hints to close in. Play today’s Wordly.

01 How Wordly works

You have six guesses to find the day’s six-letter word. Type any valid word and the tiles color in: green for a letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter in the word but somewhere else, and grey for a letter that is not in the word at all. Use those clues to narrow the field and land the exact word before your guesses run out.

02 Free, and new every day

Like every game here, Wordly is free, needs no account, and works on your phone or desktop with nothing to download. One fresh word is published each day, the same for everyone, and it resets at midnight US Eastern. It plays in a few minutes, then you are done until tomorrow.

03 Easy vs hard mode

Wordly has two modes. Easy plays like classic Wordle: hints are yours to use or ignore. Hard mode requires that every clue you have revealed shows up in your later guesses, so you cannot throw away a probe word. If you have burned out on five-letter guessing, the extra letter and the hard mode give Wordly more room to think.
