01 How Wordly works

You have six guesses to find the day’s six-letter word. Type any valid word and the tiles color in: green means the letter is in the right spot, yellow means it’s in the word but sitting somewhere else, and grey means it’s not in the word at all. Read those clues, cross off possibilities, and land the exact word before your guesses run out.

02 Free, and new every day

Like every game here, Wordly is free, needs no account, and runs on your phone or desktop with nothing to download. One fresh word is published each day, the same for everyone, and it resets at midnight US Eastern. Most solves take a few minutes, then you’re done until tomorrow.

03 Easy vs hard mode

Wordly has two modes. Easy plays like classic Wordle: the hints are yours to use or ignore. Hard mode makes every clue you’ve revealed mandatory in later guesses, so you can’t burn a turn on a throwaway probe word.
